Orchid wave. Pantone quilt challenge

So, the lovely bloggers over at Play crafts and On the windy side are having a quilty challenge.

The centre of that challenge is the Pantone colour of the year 2014 – Radiant Orchid (a purpley/ pinky colour.) I did not have the time for a quilt, so I opted for the minis category and here it is my ‘Orchid Wave’ quilted cushion:

It’s made from EPP hexagons in Kona Violet and other coordinating prints. These are appliqued to Kona Ash and had quilted following the hexies outward. This is then made in to a cushion with the addition of Kona Violet piping.

Dimensions: 26x 13 inches.

I enjoyed this challenge as it’s great to follow a brief set by somebody else and stretch your creativity!

There are some seriously amazing projecats being linked up for this challenge, so if you haven’t yet, then do follow the link bellow and have a nosey at what everyone has been doing!
